UNITED WAY DAYS

1,000 ACTS OF CARE

OCTOBER 26-30

United Way Days is a community-wide effort led by United Way of South Central Michigan. During the week of October 26, we're challenging our region to complete 1,000 Acts of Care. We're creating opportunities for people, businesses and nonprofits to come together, give their time and strengthen our communities. This effort is about showing up, getting involved and making a difference together.

COMPLETE AN ACT OF CARE

During the week of October 26-30, we invite you to contribute Acts of Care! You can do this by signing up for one of our in-person or virtual volunteer events that week, or complete and log your own Act of Care. This could be:

  • Sign up for our 21-Day Disability Equity Challenge
  • Sign up for one of the in-person or virtual volunteer opportunities listed below.
  • Share one of our social media posts and use the hashtag #unitedwaydays.
  • Complete and log an act of care on your own.

LOG YOUR ACT OF CARE

Every act of care - no matter the size - makes a difference. If you've completed an Act of Care outside of our planned volunteer opportunities, we want to hear about it so it can count toward our 1,000 Acts of Care!

Here are some ways to make sure you're counted:

GET INVOLVED!

Below you'll find volunteer opportunities across our region - everything from landscaping and organizing spaces to serving lunches and feeding animals. You'll find more detailed information on each one as you click "SIGN UP." Each volunteer will need to complete their own registration. However, if you would like to reserve a block of volunteer spots at a certain location for an employee group, please email Stephanie at [email protected].
