The United Way SCMI Community Resiliency department has 2 Free Narcan trainings coming up this month that you all are invited to join! One is in Battle Creek, and the other is in Kalamazoo. 

The trainings themselves are different. Kalamazoo’s is a longer and more in-depth/extensive training which not only covers Narcan/Naloxone administration, but also a comprehensive drug use destigmatization training. It runs about 2 hours. The Battle Creek training is only 30-45 minutes and largely focuses on how to use/administer Narcan/Naloxone to someone in active overdose.

, 1pm-3pm at COPE Network [3330 Miller Rd, Kalamazoo, MI 49001]. This training will be facilitated by Nancy King of COPE Network.

, 1pm-1:45pm at The Substance Abuse Council (same building as the United Way Battle Creek office) and will be hosted in-person at their facility [34 W. Jackson St., Suite 2A, Battle Creek, MI 49017]. This training will be facilitated by Honalee Johnson of The Substance Abuse Council.
