2025 Impact Volunteer Awards: Lifetime Volunteer, Sheryl McConvelle
Sheryl is a very compassionate and patient volunteer. Spending 11 to 12 hours a week at the pantry, she performs the computer food orders online through the SWM Food Bank. While overseeing the volunteers, Sheryl collects the weekly geographical data and forwards it to our administrative office for data management, while also helping prepare the food bags as necessary.
Sheryl’s positive attitude motivates those around her. She enjoys volunteering and it shows. As an asset to their food pantry team, they are lucky to have such a caring, giving, and compassionate coordinator for the food pantry. Her dedication to volunteering and the community they serve never waivers.
She also is very welcoming to everyone who needs something, never turning anyone away, while also getting to know our regular referral families in the process. Sheryl has helped serve as many as over 300 individuals in a week and as many as over 100 families a week. Her positive attitude and desire to serve her community does not go unnoticed.
